Congratulations on your new chapter!
We have a large support team of volunteers who are here to offer you all the help that you will need. We provide you with an array of marketing and PR ideas and examples including business cards and personalized flyers that are included in your Start Strong Package. We will also supply you with a webpage and Facebook Fan page that is specific to your chapter so that you can reach people on the internet immediately, and we will assign you a personal mentor to help you the whole way.
No, definitely not! Once you start your new Mothers & More chapter, we will assign you a mentor, whose job is to give you the support, knowledge and tools that you need to help your chapter grow and thrive. Your mentor doesn’t just help you in the start up process; your mentors and support team are there for you and your chapter indefinitely.
What makes our chapters so unique is the large variety of different activities we provide for our members and your new chapter is no different. We encourage you to provide any and all activities your members are looking for, both day and night, with and without children. Our monthly evening “Meet & Mingle” give us a chance to break from our everyday lives, establish friendships with other dynamic women, voice the emotional and practical issues we face as mothers, and explore avenues for self-fulfillment during our active parenting years. Your personal mentoring team will help you plan your first several “Meet & Mingles” and chapter events to help get your chapter off the ground. As your chapter grows, we will encourage you to utilize guest speakers, and schedule moms’ nights out, playgroups, family activities, seasoned mom groups, special–interest groups (book club, scrapbooking, cooking…), care committees, advocacy opportunities, email loops, and much more.
Initially starting a chapter is a very simple and quick process. Once you have your chapter, your mentor will help you plan marketing ideas and your first initial “Meet & Mingle” event. After your initial “Meet & Mingle”, your new members (along with your chapter mentor) will be able to help you gauge the types of events you will have in the future as well as help plan and host things going forward.
Starting a Mothers & More chapter requires only the purchase of our Start Strong Package which provides you with marketing materials, a t-shirt, a tote bag and some other great items for only $20. We will also provide your chapter with a Facebook Fan Page AND a FREE website! You must join the organization to be able to start a new chapter, but as a thank you for your efforts in helping Mothers & More grow, we will provide you with your first year’s membership for FREE!
It costs $45 a year to be a member of Mothers & More, no matter where in the country your chapter is located. This comes out to be about $3.75 a month which is about the cost of one coffee shop latte. To help get your chapter off the ground, we will provide any new members who join your chapter within the first 90 days of your start date a discounted dues rate of only $35!
